Embrace Webinar #7

Gender Dysphoria & Pastoral Care

Thursday, October 11, 12-1pm

What is gender dysphoria, and how might we begin to frame pastoral care for those living with gender dysphoria or gender identity conflict? What might it look like to place our understanding of gender dysphoria within the comprehensive call to Christian faithfulness? We will engage these questions and more at our next Embrace webinar with Steve Froehlich, a seasoned pastor who has navigated these questions in the context of his own ministry. Steve's pastoral journey with Christians living with gender dysphoria began in 2015. He has authored a widely read white paper on pastoral care and gender dysphoria, a summary of which was published in a resource guide from Lead Them Home. In 2017, Steve spoke at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary at a pastors’ forum on pastoral care and gender dysphoria. A few of Steve’s valued conversation partners are Mark Yarhouse, Bill Henson, Richard Winter, Oliver O'Donovan, Preston Sprinkle, and Calum MacKellar.

In preparation for this webinar, please read Steve’s white paper available online, Gender Dysphoria: A Pastoral Letter. We look forward to the conversation!
