Haiti Agriculture Training
In Santo, there is incredible potential for high agricultural productivity. Because Haiti has had inefficient agricultural techniques, it is often difficult to produce large quantities of crops. Consequently, many Haitians are not receiving the food or income they need to live. Habitat for Humanity is establishing a 1500m² vegetable plot in order to increase income, nutritional health, and training resources for several Haitian families. This project allows women and men the chance to learn a skill that leads them to be self-sustaining and able to provide for and support their families’ needs. Surrounding families benefit too, as the high-quality crops are sold in multiple markets near Santo.
