This 6-acre pilot farming system in Fond-des-Blancs, Haiti will lead to the development of a 120-acres farm that will produce multiple crops each year. These crops will provide for increased food security and nutrition for the community. Furthermore, the profits from the sale of the crops will benefit the community school’s nutrition programs. This rural community in Haiti has been devastated by natural disasters, unemployment, lack of health care and education. Through our partner, Haiti Christian Development Fund, the community is being transformed through agriculture projects like this, new schools and education systems, local affordable health care, and new employment opportunities.
