Covenant Orientation fulfills the orientation requirement for credentialing (ordination, commissioning, and licensure) set by the Board of the Ordered Ministry. It seeks to increase a pastor’s knowledge and appreciation of Covenant distinctives and heritage and is designed to connect pastors more fully to the Covenant fellowship. It offers practical tools for fruitful ministry in the Covenant context. Covenant Orientations is designed to be completed in two years, although more time can be taken.

“Covenant Orientation has enhanced my ministry by giving me more knowledge and it has answered the questions I had personally…the whys and hows of the Evangelical Covenant Church. This course work has given me a hunger for more knowledge. In fact, I have felt a deeper calling to stay in ministry” – Bruce Helgeson

Covenant Orientation consists of three components:
Component 1 | Orientation Studies (four courses)
Component 2 | Covenant Life Experiences (six experiences)
Component 3 | Advising Relationship (one year)
