‘In It Together’ Slide Program Now Available

CHICAGO, IL (May 5, 2010) – Numerous pastors and others attending conference annual meetings throughout the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) this spring have been requesting copies of a special PowerPoint presentation – “In It Together” – that has been shown during most conference business sessions.

The slide presentation provides an overview of the ECC and the many ways in which it partners with and supports conference and local church ministries. It offers interesting statistics and highlights helpful resources that may be of interest to various local church boards, committees and leadership teams.

Did you know, for example, that the Covenant has 819 churches located in 44 states and five provinces? Have you heard about the new – and unique – Call-in Café featuring hour-long online dialogues on various ministry topics? And were you aware that the Covenant has now surpassed the 25 percent level of congregations that are ethnic or multi-ethnic, reflecting the wonderful diversity of Christ’s kingdom?

Evangelism – discipleship – global mission and engagement – compassion, mercy and justice – supporting clergy. It’s all covered, as are a variety of specialized ministries like Paul Carlson Partnership, Covenant World Relief, Covenant Trust Company, National Covenant Properties and others.

Included is information on key upcoming events – the 125th anniversary celebration during the June Annual Meeting in St. Paul, Minnesota, and Triennial XIII in July in Washington, D.C. Also learn more about future events such as Midwinter, the Feast and the next CHIC dates.

“This would be a great resource for our local church – can I obtain a copy?” one individual asked following the recent Southeast Conference annual meeting. “I want our board and our committees to see it.”
