SAN DIEGO, CA (October 1, 2010) – A memorial service for retired Evangelical Covenant Church pastor William May, 89, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Mount Miguel Covenant Village Bailey Center. He died Tuesday.
Mays was born March 26, 1921, in Pasadena, California. He earned a bachelor of psychology degree from San Francisco State College. He transferred his ordination to the Covenant in 1957.
Mays married Martha Dunlap August 10, 1940.
He served two Covenant churches in Rocklin and West Point, California. He also served Covenant congregations in Portland and Gresham, Oregon.
His wife, Martha, preceded him in death. He remarried and is survived by his wife, Marie, seven children, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
