Memorial Service Conducted for Morland Adell

SUN CITY WEST, AZ (July 10, 2012) – A memorial service was conducted Friday for former Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Morland Adell, 86, who died June 28. The service was held at Desert Garden United Church of Christ.

Morland was born November 2, 1925, in Marquette, Kansas. He graduated from North Park Junior College and North Park Theological Seminary. He married his wife, Gudrun, in 1951.

Adell served Covenant churches in Beloit, Wisconsin; Moline, Illinois; Bridgeport, Connecticut, and Burnsville, Minnesota. He also ministered at Midwest Covenant Home in Stromsburg, Nebraska.

In addition to his wife, Adell is survived by a son, Gordon Adell of Chicago, and a daughter, Christine Howe of Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

It is suggested that memorials be directed to North Park Theological Seminary, 3225 West Foster Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60625.
