But many excellent free sites provide a wealth of materials and capabilities. Several carry public domain commentaries, but each of the sites below includes helpful resources. Some include tools that are more technical, others are accessible to any user. These were suggested by fellow Covenanters so check out what others are using.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”28322″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Studylight.org

Don’t let the title fool you. “Studylight” has many of the commentaries and Bibles that are unavailable on other sites. It has one of the better interlinear displays. It also includes various devotionals and Bible reading plans.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”28305″ border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

The Text This Week

“The Text This Week” serves as a resource center connecting the preacher to a wealth of articles, online commentaries, artwork, children’s sermons, prayers for worship, and more for each text in the lectionary.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”28310″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Working Preacher

“Working Preacher” is another site that provides commentary on the lectionary text, along with a wealth of resources on preaching as well as reviews.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”28328″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Bible Hub

For a site that might initially seem sparse, “Bible Hub” has a lot to offer, including Google maps that give access to what some of the biblical sites look like today. Their interlinear Bible and parallel texts also are very good.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”28301″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Bible Gateway

“Bible Gateway” is a popular site that is often recommended, especially for its excellent collection of Bible translations. It’s not as good as some others for technical work.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″][vc_single_image image=”28326″ alignment=”center” border_color=”grey” img_link_target=”_self” img_size=”full”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Bible.org

“Bible.org” has some standard tools but also links to Bibles at Lumina.org, as well as an app and a mobile site. Users are able to store their own notes.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
