Services Scheduled for Evangeline Sundberg

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (July 16, 2010) – Funeral services for Evangeline D. (Youngquist) Sundberg, 96, will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Salem Covenant Church in New Brighton, Minnesota.

Sundberg, the widow of former Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Nathan Sundberg, died Tuesday. She was born September 23, 1913, in Stromsburg, Nebraska. The couple married June 10, 1939.

Survivors include two daughters: Lois Jacobson and Miriam Johnson; and two sons, Stan Sundberg and Mark Sundberg. Preceding her in death were a son, Rev. Leland Sundberg; and grandson Bryan Johnson.

Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to services. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Bethany Covenant Village or Salem Covenant Church.
