CHICAGO, IL (December 10, 2010) – Volunteers are needed to teach English classes as part of the Taiwan Summer English Program set for July 1-17 next year.

The Evangelical Covenant Church Department of World Mission operates the program in cooperation with the Taiwan Covenant Church. This is the seventh year for the outreach.

The program builds relationships with children in their communities. For many children, it is their first contact with the church.

Cost to participate is $450 plus the cost of airfare to Taipei. Housing and food will be provided. Youth are welcome to participate – those younger than age 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Teachers must be at least college freshmen or older. Previous leadership or teaching experience is helpful.

For more information and applications, email Kim Crawford in World Mission or call her at 773-907-3309.
