CHICAGO, IL (September 25, 2013) — The Covenant World Relief (CWR) fall emphasis materials have been mailed to churches.
Each packet of sample materials includes a cover letter, the CWR fall 2013 update, bulletin inserts, brochure, poster, offering envelopes, DVD, the newly designed soup-can label, and a Kids Helping Kids Haiti postcard, which also has additional material about the project online. Items can be ordered or downloaded by clicking on the links.
Also available is a special spoken-word performance video featuring Sharon Irving Carlson, who wrote the material especially for the ministry. To view the video with Spanish captions, click here. Click on the “CC” at the bottom right of the video and then choose the language desired.
Another video on CovChurch.tv highlights the new soup-can banks and the impact that offerings will have on some of the poorest people in the world.
A special mailing that includes a cover letter in Spanish is being sent to Spanish-speaking congregations. “If materials are needed in Spanish, please let us know,” said Chrissy Palmerlee.
Many churches have an emphasis on Covenant World Relief around Thanksgiving. “This is tradition, but we welcome and need Covenant World Relief emphasis anytime during the year,” Palmerlee said.
