CHICAGO, IL (December 6, 2013) — President Gary Walter announced today that Rebecca Gonzalez has been called to the position of executive director of operations for the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC), a new position consolidating previous functions as part of a reorganizational streamlining at Covenant Offices.
Gonzalez comes with a strong résumé, most recently serving as vice-president for operations and programming at Casa Central, reportedly the largest non-governmental provider of social services in Chicago. Its principal clientele is Hispanic. She also has leadership experience with World Vision and other church-based and retail contexts. She holds a master’s degree in management from North Park University.
She will have direct responsibility for human resource functions and governance administration, as well as oversight of IT, Events Office, and Building Services. She will also serve on the senior leadership team of the ECC.

Gonzalez will begin January 6, 2014.
