GRANITE BAY, CA (March 25, 2015) — Bayside Church of Granite Bay will provide a study kit that accompanies the upcoming 12-week TV series “A.D. The Bible Continues” to any Covenant church that would like one.
NBC will launch the series at 9 p.m. CDT on Easter Sunday. Produced by Mark Burnett and Roma Downey, it is the second production of a longer series of stories from the Bible. The first installment, “The Bible,” was launched in 2013 on the History Channel and had 13.1 million viewers for the first episode. By the end of its cable debut, 100 million viewers had watched the series. “A.D.” focuses specifically on the first 10 chapters of Acts.
The producers of the series partnered with the Assemblies of God to create resources for churches to accompany the series, which are available through Outreach Ministries. The Granite Bay congregation took a special offering to raise funds so that any Covenant church could use them.
The kit includes sermons, study guides, posters, and other material. The launch of the series is just over a week away. Churches can use taped sessions to host study and dialogue groups at a later date.
