CASPIAN, MICHIGAN (April 26, 2016) — Ellen I. Harris-Wallo, widow of Covenant pastor Perl Harris, died April 17 at her home in Michigan. She was 75.
She was born January 3, 1941, in Tipler, Wisconsin, to Lester J. and Myrtle (Graves) Boodry. She married Perl Harris in February 1970, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She married Robert J. Wallo in 1988, and he preceded her in death in 2001.
Ellen enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, going for walks, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Arnold (Jennifer Watkins) and Arlene (John), both of Iron River, Michigan, and Lester Boodry of Georgia; stepdaughter, Arloene Johnson (Bertil) of Carney, Michigan; two siblings, David Braybank and Lila Culver; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Dale Paffrath; stepson, Aubrey Harris; stepdaughter, Ruth Melnarick; a brother and two sisters.
Services will be held Thursday, April 28, at Grace Covenant Church in Iron River, Michigan.
