Masten Named New Director of Missionary Personnel

CHICAGO, IL (February 22, 2017) – Deborah Masten has been named the new director of missionary personnel for Serve Globally. She has been serving as the associate director of local and global ministries at Quest Church in Seattle, Washington.

Masten, who also is a licensed therapist, served as a missionary with her family in Cambodia for 14 years and is fluent in the Khmer language.

“We believe, in light of her passion for mission, her gifts in leadership, counseling, and story-telling, and her missionary experience, that she is God’s person to inspire, manage, and care for ECC’s missionary community serving all over the world,” said Al Tizon, executive minister of Serve Globally.

Masten will begin her new duties on March 16. Current missionary personnel co-directors Margie and Baxter Swenson are retiring and will conclude their service at the end of March.
