VENICE, FL (May 1, 2017) – A celebration of life service for Jon Erickson, husband of retired Covenant pastor Rebecca Erickson, was held Saturday, April 29, at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Venice Isle. He was 77.
Jon was born July 13, 1939, to Margaret and Emil Erickson in Bradford, Pennsylvania. He served in the Navy from 1957 to 1961.
Jon married Rebecca on May 30, 1964. He owned and operated Erickson’s Piano Service from 1971 to 2011. He was a dedicated church musician, playing both piano and organ for many years at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Warren, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Venice Isle.
In addition to his wife, Rebecca, survivors include two daughters, Kristina Paterniti (David) of Jamestown, New York, and Barbara Durst (Eric) of Port Charlotte, Florida; a son, Jon K. Erickson of Warren, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren.
