Covenant Clergy Discount for Biblical Equality Conference

ORLANDO, FL (May 8, 2017) – Covenant clergy are eligible for a “significant discount” at the Christians for Biblical Equality international conference, Mutual by Design, to be held in Orlando July 21-23.

Covenant minister Gricel Medina will be one of the plenary speakers. She was the first Hispanic to serve as chair of the Evangelical Covenant Church Commission on Biblical Gender Equality (CBGE).

Covenanter Nilwona Nowlin will be a workshop speaker. She holds a master’s of arts in Christian formation and a certificate in justice ministry from North Park Theological Seminary as well as a master’s in nonprofit management from North Park University’s School of Business and Nonprofit Management.

Other plenary speakers include:

  • Ben Witherington III, Amos Professor of New Testament for doctoral studies at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky
  • Joy Jittaun Moore, assistant professor of preaching and academic liaison to the William E. Pannell Center for African American Church Studies at Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California
  • Michael F. Bird, Anglican priest and lecturer in theology at Ridley College in Melbourne, Australia
  • Jamin Hübner, director of institutional effectiveness and associate professor at John Witherspoon College in Rapid City, South Dakota
