CHICAGO, IL (August 9, 2017) – The ECC’s Make and Deepen Disciples mission priority will host a free interactive webinar on “How Small Churches Can Thrive in Evangelism” from 11:30 a.m. to noon (Central) on Wednesday, August 16.
The webinar will feature Michelle Sanchez, executive minister of Make and Deepen; Beth Seversen, director of evangelism for the ECC, and Ed Stetzer, the Billy Graham Chair of Church, Mission, and Evangelism at Wheaton College, and executive director of the Billy Graham Center for Evangelism.
The panel will discuss the findings of a multidenominational survey of 1,500 small churches (with attendance up to 250 people) about the key factors that predict growth through conversion in small churches.
“The Evangelical Covenant Church is committed to helping our small churches thrive, and this is especially critical given that the majority of ECC churches fall into that category,” Sanchez says.
Sanchez adds that a renewed focus on evangelism is a way to inject new energy into any congregation. “We have seen pastors and their churches experience significant transformation as a result of increasing their personal evangelism efforts,” she says. “Our hope is to raise the temperature for evangelism in every Covenant church.”
