Obituary: Mary Frances ‘Frankie’ Henderson

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (February 19, 2018) – A funeral service for Mary Frances (Frankie) Henderson, the widow of Covenant minister Stanley R. Henderson, was held Friday, February 16, at First Evangelical Covenant Church. She died Friday, February 9.

Frankie, 87, was born in Branson, Missouri, on September 30, 1931.

She attended college in Greenville, South Carolina, where she eventually met Stan. They married on June 2, 1954.

The couple served churches in Turlock, Downey and Oakland, California; and Rockford, Illinois. In addition, Stan served as superintendent of the Northwest Conference and interim vice president of the Covenant, and Frankie enjoyed accompanying him as they visited various churches around the country.

Frankie is survived by sons, Daniel (Diane) and David (Tina), 10 grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
