OBITUARY: Elna Jean (Peterson) Foss

TURLOCK, CA (June 5, 2018) – Elna Jean (Peterson) Foss, widow of Covenant minister Francis Foss, died May 24. She was 93.

Jean was born January 17, 1925, in Calgary, Alberta. She attended Covenant Bible College in Canada and North Park College.

She married Francis on July 1, 1950, in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

The couple served Covenant churches in Rocklin, California; Worcester, Massachusetts (Bethlehem); Cranston, Rhode Island; Fitchburg, Massachusetts; Miami, Florida (Palmetto); Turlock, California (Beulah); and Bloomington, Minnesota.

Two years ago, at the age of 91, she became an American citizen.

She is survived by two daughters, Martha Foss Johnson (Walter) and Lisa Foss Olson (Joseph); two sons, Peter (Cathy) and Stephen (Janet); and six grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 6, at Turlock Covenant Church
