Retired Covenant minister James Stone passed away on February 24, 2023, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was 84 years old.

James Harold Stone was born on September 9, 1938, in Emo, Ontario. He graduated from North Park College in 1964 and North Park Theological Seminary in 1969.

James married Carolyn Stolberg on June 19, 1965, in Chicago, Illinois. Together they had two sons, Jeffrey and Gregory.

James served at the Evangelical Covenant Church of Minnedosa in Minnedosa, Manitoba, and College Park Covenant Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn; his two sons, Jeff and Greg (Ainsley); grandson, Tyler; and sisters, Karen (Bill) and Susan (Terry).

A memorial service was held on March 3, 2023, at College Park Covenant Church in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to College Park Covenant Church, World Vision, or Food for the Hungry.
