Joanne Lea Peterson, wife of retired Covenant minister Paul Peterson, died on December 11, 2024, at Sterling Park Senior Living in Waite Park, Minnesota. She was 87.

Paul was originally ordained as an elder in the United Methodist Church, then transferred his ordination to the Evangelical Covenant Church in 1980. He and Joanne served Methodist churches in Illinois and Minnesota, and Covenant churches in Siren, Wisconsin; and Hector, Minnesota.

Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Paul. She is survived by her four children, Kathy Butler (Clif), Kris Kindall (Dan), Andy (Joleen), and David (Dawn); as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring/summer of 2025 at First Covenant Church in Willmar, Minnesota.
