Funeral Service Conducted for Sandra Mosby

BRONX, NY (July 21, 2011) – A funeral service for Sandra (Smalls) Mosby, widow of Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Jerry Mosby, was conducted Tuesday evening at Fellowship Covenant Church. She died July 14.

Mosby, 62, was born June 29, 1949, in Georgetown, South Carolina. She was married in 1970 to Ervin Humes, who preceded her in death. The Mosbys were married June 28, 1981. He died in 2007.

The Mosbys grew Fellowship Covenant, often referred to as “The ship” from 15 members to an average attendance of 1,600 people.

Survivors include a son, Jermal Jabar, and a daughter, Chrissandra La’Shawn.
