What are you currently reading?

Proverbs 3:5-6, NIV

What do you hope pastors and ministry leaders who attend Gather will take away from your talk?

When one listens carefully to God, one can fully trust that he is present in every situation, and we can continue to remain faithful to him, to our families, church, and community, and persevere to serve God and neighbors with actions of service and compassion.

What does the Gather theme, “Faithfully Forward,” mean to you in your life and ministry context?

Moving faithfully forward means staying committed to our beliefs, serving with integrity, and continuously growing in our spiritual journey as we fulfill our calling to serve others while staying healthy in all areas, keeping balanced, and living a godly life as God calls us to do.

What would Gather attendees be surprised to learn about you?

I have faced many hardships in my life and constantly ask God, “Why me?” But that is exactly why I am where I am, because I believe God’s plan is perfect. This lesson didn’t come easily to me.

What was your first job?

My first job was at age 16 working as a secretary for one of the biggest companies in Mexico City called PEMEX (Petroleos Mexicanos).
