Retired Covenant global personnel Kathy Frederiksen passed away April 2, 2025.

According to her social media bio, Kathy was also an executive senior research associate in the field of child development and human relations. She and her husband, Andy, met at Biola College, and were married in 1962. Together, they were called into missionary service to Taiwan by the Evangelical Covenant Church in 1985. After years in service, they returned to the United States, settling in San Diego, California, in 1997. Together they were a vital part of the body of Christ at Community Covenant Church in El Cajon, where Kathy served as church secretary.

Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, Andy. 

She is survived by her four children, Julie Heinsman (Ron), Paul Frederiksen, John Mark Frederiksen (Clementa), and Sharon Bjorkman; 12 grandchildren, Mark, Teri, Jennifer, Melissa, Cameron, Jordan, Abigail, Hattie, Ian, Seth, Kayla, and Trent; and five great-grandchildren.
