CHICAGO, IL (February 17, 2014) — The Commission on Covenant History is considering how it might “reinvent” a Covenant Historical Society, says Anna-Kajsa Anderson, interim director of archives and special collections at North Park University.
The society’s mission is to gather, connect, equip, and serve people interested in the denomination’s history and heritage.
The commission has created an online survey in order to gauge interest and connect interested people with its work. An English version is posted here, and a Spanish version here.
Respondents are asked to complete the brief survey by March 1.
The commission is a standing commission established by the Annual Meeting in 1935 to provide guidance and assistance to programs and policies related to the collection, preservation, maintenance, and interpretation of historical records of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
