Obituary: Lorraine (Johnson) Morris

CALGARY, AB (March 18, 2016) – Lorraine (Johnson) Morris, widow of former Covenant pastor Wes Morris, died Thursday, March 10. She was 88.

Lori was born March 26, 1927. She married Wes Morris on May 12, 1948.

Together they served Covenant churches in Baudette and Warroad, Minnesota; Mission Covenant Church in Rainy River, Ontario; Edgewater Covenant Church in Chicago, Illinois; and the Evangelical Covenant Church in Calgary.

Survivors include three sons, Mike (Annie) Morris, John (Ellen) Morris, and Doug (Liz) Morris; a daughter, Mary (Jim) Renwick; seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Jim Morris.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, at Foothills Alliance Church in Calgary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lori’s memory to Foothills Alliance Church, 333 Edgepark Blvd. NW, Calgary, AB T3A 4K4.
