Ventura Fire Not a Threat to Covenant Churches

CONCORD, CA (December 6, 2017) – No ECC churches are currently impacted by the fire raging through Ventura County north of Los Angeles, according to Kristine Gilmore in the Pacific Southwest Conference office.

Some members of the Simi Covenant Church in Simi Valley were told yesterday that they might have to evacuate, but that notice was rescinded.

In the last three days, tens of thousands of people have had to flee their homes. The fire has scorched 83,000 acres and burned numerous buildings.
