YELM, WA (August 21, 2018) – Rob Mohrweis has been named the new executive director of Cascades Camp and Conference Center. He will assume his duties September 1.

Mohrweis joined the camp staff as program director in 2000 and has been serving as associate director since 2008.

His appointment was unanimously approved last week by the search committee, the camp’s Board of Directors, and the Executive Board of the Pacific Northwest Conference.

Board chair Erika Haub said, “As a Covenant pastor serving in the Pacific Northwest Conference, as a parent of four Cascades campers, as a former Cascades staff member, and as the chair of the Cascades Board, I could not be more thrilled by the selection of Rob Mohrweis as the new Executive Director of Cascades Camp and Conference Center.”

She noted especially Mohrweis’s “leadership, vision, and servant’s heart.”

“I am humbled and honored for this opportunity to lead Cascades into a new season of ministry,” Mohrweis said. “Becky and I truly feel God’s call on our family to serve in this beautiful, set-apart place. It’s my goal that we honor the rich legacy of faith that is Covenant camping in the Pacific Northwest, while we look forward to what exciting new adventures in ministry God has in store for Cascades.”

Mohrweis is a graduate of Western Washington University, where he received his bachelor’s degree in finance and management.
