MENA Monday Raises Funds for Middle East Ministry

The Middle East North Africa (MENA) region of Serve Globally is sponsoring a one-day event today to raise awareness and funds for two projects.

BETHLEHEM, WEST BANK (November 5, 2018) — The Middle East North Africa (MENA) region of Serve Globally is sponsoring a one-day event today to raise awareness and funds for two projects.

MENA Monday USA is sponsoring a project to support a partner that ministers in a rural under-resourced area to children and families. (Due to security reasons, the name of the ministry and location cannot be identified.)

The ministry uses art and play therapy with children who have experienced deep pain and trauma due to a variety of difficult living experiences. The program also offers tutoring to the children. The partner is expanding their ministry by providing literacy tutoring to adults.

MENA Monday Canada will support the Shepherd’s Society, the compassion ministry of Bethlehem Bible College, as they address social, emotional, and physical needs of the Palestinian community. Due to a decrease in UN funding for Palestinians in need, there has been an increase in requests to the ministry for assistance with food and medical care.

A donor has pledged a $2,000 matching grant as part of the event labeled MENA Monday.

Contributors in the United States can donate online here and choose “Mena Monday” from the dropdown menu.

Contributors in Canada can donate here and choose MENA from the dropdown menu.
