Day 19 Gift Idea: Goats

Today we highlight the difference two goats can make in a person’s life. Dineshbhai is a small-scale farmer who received two goats from Covenant Social Service (CSS) in the tribal community of Vyara, India.

CHICAGO, IL (December 19, 2018) – Throughout the Advent season, Covenant Newswire is highlighting daily gift selections from the CovenantCares giving guide. Through the free annual catalog, Covenanters can partner with brothers and sisters around the globe to give gift donations that will help serve communities and advance God’s work in many areas.

Today we highlight the difference two goats can make in a person’s life. Dineshbhai is a small-scale farmer who received two goats from Covenant Social Service (CSS) in the tribal community of Vyara, India.

Because of financial distress, Dineshbhai had become demotivated and turned to alcohol. Through the ministry of CSS, Dineshbhai learned how to make a living from goat rearing. He gave up drinking and began to care for his family and rear the goats. He is now motivated to work in his own land by using the investment he receives from selling goat milk.

Your gift will provide goats in India or Honduras. This and other missional gift-giving options are available now through CovenantCares Gifts for Mission. Please join us in advancing the mission.
