Deadline to Apply for Evangelical Covenant Church Discipleship Director: March 20

CHICAGO, IL (March 14, 2019) — The deadline to apply for the newly created position of director of discipleship in the Make and Deepen (MDD) mission priority is Wed., March 20.

The position will oversee three areas:

  • Develop a coaching system for churches to design their own intentional discipleship pathways. This leader will work with the MDD team to advance discipleship efforts across all ages, including specialized areas such as spiritual direction, worship and prayer.
  • Cast vision and provide leadership for multiple church-wide discipleship initiatives.
  • Help develop curriculum. The director will convene teams to create new discipleship resources and experiences to strengthen the entire church. Embrace is a recent example.

“We believe that God is about to mobilize a fresh movement of missional discipleship in the Evangelical Covenant Church,” said Michelle Sanchez, executive minister of MDD . “Our vision is to fulfill the Great Commission of Jesus by mobilizing a multiethnic movement of disciples who make disciples across all ages.”
