JAMESTOWN, N.Y. (Jan. 14, 2020) – Grace (Nordstrom) Vennberg, wife of retired Covenant pastor David Vennberg, died Friday, Jan. 10. She was 94.
Grace was born August 20, 1925, in Ridgway, Pa., to Nels Emil and Nelle Amanda Engstrom Nordstrom.
She graduated from North Park Junior College.
Grace married David on November 26, 1966. He had been serving as pastor of Mission Covenant Church in Sugar Grove, Pa., when the couple was married. They continued to minister there until 1988. She served as pianist and organist for several years.
Grace worked as a teller for Pennbank in Sugar Grove, Pa., before retiring. She was a member of Zion Covenant Church in Jamestown.
Survivors include her husband, David; a sister, Jean Landin; and three nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 17, at Zion Covenant Church. Inurnment will be in the Mission Covenant Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Zion Covenant Church or Mission Covenant Church.
