Retired Covenant pastor Lloyd F. Alex died April 5, 2023, in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He was 94.

Lloyd Fred Alex was born on March 30, 1929, to parents Fred and Esther (Erickson) Alex in Minnedosa, Manitoba.

He graduated from Covenant Bible College in 1953. He graduated from North Park College in 1960 and earned his master’s of divinity from North Park Theological Seminary in 1964. During his studies, he met Therese Lesner and they married on September 9, 1961.

Lloyd was ordained by the Covenant in 1973. He taught at his alma mater, Covenant Bible College, and served congregations in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan; Camrose, Alberta; Melfort, Saskatchewan; and Breton, Alberta.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Therese, and a grandson, Nathan. He is survived by three children, Wendell, Rene, and Elaine (Ed); grandchildren Amy, Teagan, and their father, Dave, and Senna, Jenson and their mother, Jacqueline.
