The Covenant Companion Wins Top Denominational Magazine Award

The Covenant Companion received four top awards including first place in the best denominational magazine category.

For the second year in a row, The Covenant Companion was honored as the best denominational magazine by the Evangelical Press Association (EPA). Judges mentioned the “striking covers and enticing interior design,” the “journalistic creativity,” and the “fabulous issue on the image of Jesus. Overall, great magazine that I know engages your readers!”

In addition, Covenanter Mia Larson’s artwork on the cover of the Winter 2024 issue (“Grappling with the Image of Jesus”) was recognized by both the EPA and the Associated Church Press, with judges calling it “a powerful image” and adding, “The concept of interweaving different and unique portrayals of Jesus into a single image is a fantastic one, and effectively used here. A really engaging, powerful piece overall,” and, “What a thoughtful and bold, vivid and introspective cover! Execution is perfect. Nice work.”
