SPOKANE, WA (September 24, 2010) – A memorial service for retired Evangelical Covenant Church pastor David Thorin, 71, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Covenant Church.
Thorin was born January 22, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan. He earned a Bachelor of History degree from Wayne State University and a Master of Divinity degree from North Park Theological Seminary.
He married Midge Swanson on August 18, 1962.
He served Bethany Covenant Church in Warren, Michigan, and Minnehaha Covenant Church in Spokane.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter, Anita Reynolds, and a son, Peter Thorin. Memorials may be made to the First Covenant Church Feed the Poor ministry.
