Alert: Some Newswire Recipients Need to Re-Subscribe

CHICAGO, IL (February 14, 2011) – If you have subscribed to the daily Covenant Newswire email service in the past, but realize you are no longer receiving the Newswire emails, then this message is for you.

Covenant Newswire is a free subscription-based service that sends one email each day to subscribers’ mailboxes, containing headlines and a few lines of copy for each story published in the daily Covenant news report during the previous 24 hours. To read a particular story of interest, click on the headline. The service is one means of helping ensure that recipients never miss a Covenant news story of interest.

On January 27, the Evangelical Covenant Church introduced a redesigned website offering an uncluttered appearance and numerous new features, including a more robust search tool. However, the new website necessitated a different delivery system for Covenant Newswire, which requires some longer-tenured subscribers to re-subscribe in order to continue receiving the free daily service.

If your Covenant Newswire service has stopped and you desire to re-subscribe, visit the Covenant Newswire subscription page and enter the desired email address in the blank field. A confirmation email will then be sent to the email address that was entered, requiring the recipient to verify their subscription by replying and following the instructions provided. This added step is necessary to prevent unauthorized individuals from entering the email addresses of other individuals without their permission.

The verification email must be completed and returned in order for delivery of Covenant Newswire emails to resume. To learn more about the subscription process, visit the Covenant Newswire FAQ page.
