DETROIT, MI (June 28, 2013) – Five churches from four conferences were removed from denominational membership during the 128th Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
Central Conference
The Storehouse Covenant Church, Chicago, Illinois. The church joined the Covenant in 2006 and had four members when it closed.
East Coast Conference
QueensWest Covenant Church, Long Island City, New York. The church joined the Covenant in 2003 and had 33 members when it closed.
United Covenant Church, Wilton, Connecticut. The church joined the Covenant in 1975 and had 12 members when it closed.
Great Lakes Conference
Evangelical Covenant Church, Buffalo, New York. The church joined the Covenant in 1890 and had 75 members when it closed.
Southeast Conference
Covenant Community Church, Deland, Florida. The church joined the Covenant in 2003 and had 24 members when it closed.
