Covenant pastor Victor Williams of Chicago, Illinois, died January 5, 2026. He was 70.

Victor was born January 21, 1955, in Birmingham, Alabama. He attended Florida Junior College from 1970 to 1971 and remained a lifelong learner thereafter. He was baptized in January 1972, and he married Katherine Dawn Herrin on November 22, 1973. Together they raised four children, Richard, Joel, Kathryn, and Russell.

Victor received his first ministry license in 1989, then was ordained by the Evangelical Covenant Church in 2003. He faithfully served as one of the pastors of the faith community Jesus People USA in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago.

Victor is survived by his wife, Katherine; children Joel (Joy), Kat (Joshua), and Russell (Christy); and grandchildren Pearl, Isabeau, Mattie, Ava, and Oaken.

A memorial service was held at Wilson Abbey in Chicago on January 24.
