Mission Meadows Camp Has New Director

DEWITTVILE, NY (September 15, 2011) – Mission Meadows Bible Camp has hired Bryan Muecke to be its new executive director.

Muecke has been serving as executive director of Covenant Park Bible Camp near Duluth, Minnesota, for the past seven years.

Muecke had a life-changing experience at Mission Meadows, where he met his wife, Erika, while both served on the staff. The couple has three sons: Tommy, 11, Lukas, 6, and Brennan, 4.

Muecke succeeds Karen Yaversky, who retired after serving the camp for 18 years. “I am humbled to be the one chosen to fill Karen’s shoes,” said Muecke. “She has been a wonderful camp director, and I have looked up to her many times in my ministry career.”

Leaving Covenant Park was a difficult decision, Muecke wrote on the Covenant Park website. “This will always be a special place for us and me in particular. My faith journey began here. Some of my closest friends I met here.”

The Mueckes plan to move to Mission Meadows in October, but say the date is “somewhat flexible as we are committed to a healthy transition for both Covenant Park and Mission Meadows.”

Covenant Park has announced it will begin its search for a new executive director on October 1.
