DUBUQUE, IA (December 21, 2018) – A memorial service for former Covenant missionary Iris Jensen will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 16, at Arbor Oaks Bible Chapel.

Iris died Sunday, December 2. She was 94.

She was born December 25, 1923, in Carlisle, Iowa, to Thomas and Mamie Huff Davis. Iris married Louis F. Jensen on July 18, 1945. He preceded her in death in 2008.

Iris graduated from Moody Bible Institute, and alongside her husband, served as a missionary in Tokyo, Japan, for 15 years. They went on to serve Grace Covenant Church in Chicago, Elim Covenant Church in Moline, Illinois; and the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wausa, Nebraska.

Iris is survived by three daughters, Patricia Fogle (Dave); Ruth Zschoche (Dale), and Rebecca Jensen; two sons, Paul (Sharon) and Philip; 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held Monday, December 10, at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Pastor Louis F. Jensen Scholarship Fund at Emmaus Bible College. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.hskfh.com.
