Next Embrace Webinar: Race, Sexuality, and Intersectionality

The next Embrace webinar, “Race, Sexuality, and Intersectionality,” will be a conversation with Branden S. Polk, CEO and founder of Arrowhead Advising, LLC.

CHICAGO, IL (March 5, 2019) – The next Embrace webinar, “Race, Sexuality, and Intersectionality,” will be a conversation with Branden S. Polk, CEO and founder of Arrowhead Advising, LLC.

Polk has dedicated his life to advocacy for the most vulnerable, the developing of transformational leaders, and changing the way society addresses today’s most sensitive topics such as race, sexuality, criminal justice, education, and faith

He is a graduate of George Mason University where he received his master’s degree in social work. During that time, he became an ordained minister and founded a professional and spiritual mentoring group for men called the Arrowhead Society. The group focuses on building strong relational connections, developing leaders, and innovative cultural moments.

Before founding Arrowhead Advising, Polk served with a community-based nonprofit organization that provided behavioral health services to underserved children, adolescents, and families. He also has engaged with organizations such as the Bill Melinda Gates Foundation, Annie E. Casey Foundation, Harvard University, the Ethics and Religious Liberties Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention, and the Clapham Group.

The webinar will be held from noon to 1 p.m. (CDT) on Wednesday, March 13. To register, click here.

The webinar is the tenth in a series. Past webinars can be viewed online. Embrace is a suite of human sexuality discipleship resources and experiences in harmony with the ECC’s adopted position, the center of which is “Faithfulness in heterosexual marriage, celibacy in singleness.”
