Service Date Set for Edith M. Carlson

RED WING, MN (December 7, 2010) – A service for Edith M. (Goetz) Carlson, the widow of Evangelical Covenant Church pastor C. Oliver Carlson, will be conducted on Saturday, December 18, at First Covenant Church in Red Wing.

The service will begin at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be private.

Carlson, 88, died November 29.  She was born May 26, 1922, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The Carlsons were married June 21, 1944. Her husband died August 6 this year.

She shared in her husband’s ministry at churches in Hubbard, Hastings, Lake Jennie, and Stillwater, Minnesota, as well as Arnolds Park and Newton, Iowa.

Carlson is survived by two sons, Paul Carlson of Red Wing and Lane Carlson of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; and two daughters, Marcia Rossman and DeAnn Carlson, both of Coon Rapids, Minnesota.
