Be a Philanthropist on #GivingTuesday

Giving-Tuesday-Logo-CHICAGO, IL (November 27, 2015) – The Evangelical Covenant Church has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving on December 1 that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

Anyone can get involved in #GivingTuesday and give back in a way that is meaningful to them. From fundraising to volunteering to pro bono service, #GivingTuesday is a great way to engage your community and to become a part of a larger worldwide movement.

Founded in 2012, the now annual #GivingTuesday is held on the Tuesday after the U.S. Thanksgiving celebration and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Last year, more than 30,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday.

There are many ways to get involved in #GivingTuesday. To give to Covenant projects in the U.S. or around the world, visit the CovCares website.
