GOLDEN VALLEY, MN (June 21, 2019) – Ivie Folden, widow of Covenant minister Albin Folden, died Monday, June 17, 2019, at the age of 102.

She was born January 20, 1917, to Alfred and Clara Elseth. She and Albin were married July 15, 1941, and she served alongside him in Covenant churches in Grand Forks, North Dakota; Bemidji, Minnesota; Worthington, Minnesota; Ellsworth (Bethel), Wisconsin; Cannon Falls, Minnesota; Pennock, Minnesota; Downey, California; Phoenix (West), Arizona; and Nome, Alaska.

She is survived by two sons, Richard (Karen) and Daniel (Joyce); son-in-law Charles Johnson; eight grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by Albin in 2004 and by her daughter Carol Johnson.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Covenant Village of Golden Valley where she had been a resident since 2002. A committal service is pending.

Memorials have been designated for Covenant Village Benevolence Fund or Evangelical Free Church of Newfolden, Minnesota.
