CHICAGO, IL (July 25, 2019) – Todd Slechta has been named the new president of Covenant Initiatives for Care (CIC), a ministry of Covenant Ministries of Benevolence.
CIC develops and manages healthcare ministries that serve the underserved, including Covenant Enabling Residences, Covenant Children’s Ministries, and Ädelbrook Behavioral and Developmental Services. Slechta will advocate for individuals with intellectual disabilities through increased communication and education within the Evangelical Covenant Church.
He brings a wealth of ministerial and executive experience. He has served as a Covenant pastor and as executive director of Covenant Bible College in Canada and Ecuador. He was principal of Vanguard Classical School, which serves students with a range of disabilities, social, and emotional needs, as well as those with gifted and talented capacities. Following his time at Vanguard, Slechta was vice president of personnel development for PeopleCare Health Services, an in-home healthcare company, where he designed and guided operational efficiencies via technological enhancements and staff training.
Most recently, he has been consulting to help all sectors of business use biblical principles to effectively and strategically lead their organizations.
Slechta has a bachelor’s degree from North Park University and a Master of Divinity from North Park Theological Seminary.
