The Deeper in Christ retreat experience is designed for those in ministry who are seeking to renew their friendship with God, reignite their pastoral imagination, and explore their call in a deeper way. Pastors, missionaries, and chaplains who would like to spend 5 days in reflection, prayer, spiritual direction and worship are invited to apply to attend this re-visioning retreat. There are two retreats offered per year, with a maximum of ten participants per retreat.
Those who are selected to participate will receive a Sustaining Pastoral Excellence (SPE) grant, which includes:
- All expenses for the retreat experience including registration, lodging, food, and materials
- Travel reimbursement of up to $600 for transportation to and from the retreat location
SPE Grant Eligibility Requirements:
- Current, active service of at least 2 years in a ministry field
- Hold active credential from the Evangelical Covenant Church
- Ministerial dues current for at least the last 2 years
