Association for Covenant Clergy Women
Association for Covenant Clergy Women
The Association for Covenant Clergy Women (ACCW) was formed in November of 1998, as an organized body of clergy women and men, who affirm and support collaborative efforts within the ECC to provide clergy women with opportunities to serve in their call. The ACCW is committed to finding and implementing strategies that broaden these opportunities for women to use the gifts God has given them “to equip the saints for the work of the ministry” in the ECC. 2008 ACCW 10th Anniversary Awards Reception At ECC Annual MeetingACCW members and friends joined the 2008 ACCW Awards Reception during the ECC Annual Meeting in Green Lake, Wisconsin. We had a celebrative time with clergy women who shared new calls, had a change of call, were Class of 2008 graduates and ordinands. The celebration continued throughout the ECC Annual Meeting as we held our second silent auction of clergy stoles. The winning bids were announced at the ordination reception. The ACCW thanks the Covenant women who donated the beautifully handmade clergy stoles. The proceeds will help fund next year's award program. ACCW Awards Presented At ECC Ministerium MeetingThe 2008 ACCW Victoria Welter Book Scholarship, the 2008 ACCW Phoebe
Church Planter's Grant and the 2008 ACCW Evelyn M.R. Johnson Leadership
Award were first presented during the ECC Ministerium meeting for the first time. Time constraints restricted the
recipients from giving remarks during the ministerium. They were given an opportunity to speak about their ministries
during the ACCW reception. New Officers To Be Elected At ACCW Business Meeting During 2009 Mid-winter ConferenceNew officers will be elected during the ACCW business meeting to be held during the 2009 Mid-winter Conference. The election of three new board members (president, treasurer, and one member at large) will be an important part of the agenda. For information on nominating someone contact Kirsten Nelson Wagenius at kirstendnelson at hotmail.com. The 'New Day for ACCW' discussion will also continue during the business meeting and our annual dues will be collected. We'll start with a time of worship, prayer and fellowship. There will also be time for celebrating new calls, change of call and Class of 2009 graduates and ordinands. The 2009 ACCW Awards, The Anderson/Norlund Missionary Scholarship, The Priscilla Pastorate Grant and the Mordecai Award will open for nominations. Plan now to join us! Your Story Stone Future generations of women, who are in the process of discerning call, will search to find the stories of women who are actively serving in diverse ministries. The ACCW is currently collecting 'Story Stones', of credentialed women, to meet this need. Your story may be the one to help a young woman or a woman in the process of discerning call to say "Yes" to God. Read more here.
