OMAHA, NE (November 7, 2012) – A funeral service for retired Evangelical Covenant Church pastor Robert Kronberg will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. next Tuesday, November 13, at Swedeburg Covenant Church in Swedeburg, Nebraska. He died last Sunday.
Kronberg turned 100 years old on April 6, 2012. He was born in Modesto, California.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII.
Kronberg married Ann Johnson in Springfield, Massachusetts, on September 12, 1948. He graduated from North Park College and seminary in 1949.
Kronberg served Park Falls Covenant Church in Park Falls, Wisconsin; Palmyra Covenant Church in Hector, Minnesota; Calvary Covenant Church in Cannon Falls, Minnesota; Salem and First Covenant churches in Oakland, Nebraska; Stromsburg Covenant Church in Stromsburg, Nebraska; Swedeburg Covenant Church in Wahoo, Nebraska; and Bethesda Covenant Church in Malmo, Nebraska.
His wife, Ann, preceded him in death. Survivors include three sons: Theodore Kronberg of Yakima, Washington, Norman Kronberg of Stromsburg, and Alan Kronberg of Omaha; and two daughters: Joyce Economides of Downers Grove, Illinois, and Virginia Schoenecker of Omaha, Nebraska.
Visitation will be observed from 4 to 8 p.m. next Monday, November 12, at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo. Interment will be in Wahoo with full military honors.
