Nyvall Lectures Webcast on Thursday

CHICAGO, IL (April 15, 2013) – A CovChurch.tv webcast will enable viewers to participate in the Nyvall Lectures in Isaacson Chapel at North Park Theological Seminary on Thursday.

Willie Jennings, associate professor of theology and black church studies at Duke Divinity School, will deliver a two-part lecture: “An Obedient and Loving Church: Toward an Ecclesiology that Matters.”

Part one will be presented from 9 to 10:15 a.m. (CDT). Part two will delivered from 10:45 a.m. to noon (CDT).

The author of numerous articles, Jennings’ research interests include liberation theologies, cultural identities, and anthropology. He is an ordained Baptist minister who has served interim pastorates of several North Carolina churches and continues to be an active teaching and preaching minister in the local church.
